UNPRECEDENTED: Panama City Beach Mayor Refuses to answer questions from citizens at City Council meeting.
I asked about hiring more Police Officers and giving them a raise, and also about his illegal cement wall.

The new Mayor closed today’s City Council meeting by completely ignoring all public comments from the people. This is the first time any PCB Mayor has done this.
The Panama City News Herald didn’t report this. Neither did WMBB-TV or WJHG-TV. All of them were there and saw the entire thing.
Here are the questions that I asked:
1. Would the City Council and City Manager be willing to give up their monthly $450 car allowance in order to hire two more police officers and give them a raise?
2. Did Mayor Thomas and Councilman John Reichard go out for drinks again after the last City Council meeting? (They did.)
3. Is it Mayor Thomas’ position that the City Manager has the authority to give him permission to break the law? (He claims that 10 years ago the City Manager said he could build a 10-foot cement wall around his home, which exceeds the eight-foot height limit.)
4. I asked for the name of Councilman Hector “Che” Solis’ property management business, and its address.
Since the new Mayor now refuses to answer any questions at all, I will submit these questions listed above as Public Records Requests.
