The new Mayor is using Code Enforcers, Building Inspectors and Fire Inspectors to harass citizens he doesn’t like, but says he doesn’t have to follow the law himself. #FollowTheRoos
He does. And he will.
When I ask him about exhaust fans installed last week over his commercial kitchen, he just stares blankly at me. When I tell him I”ll wait for an answer, he says, “get a pillow.”
Mayor Thomas says following the law is “personal” when it comes to him, but a government required for everyone else.
The Bay County Building Permit officials must enforce the Florida statute, which I have posted in the comment section below.
There is no gray area here, and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) takes these things very seriously.
Calling former County Commission friends doesn’t constitute an exemption to the law for Mike Thomas, which he’ll learn this week.
