QUESTIONS MOUNT REGARDING COUNCILMAN SOLIS’ UNLICENSED “PROPERTY MANAGEMENT” COMPANY
Non-compliance is a felony.
A local real estate agent asked detailed questions at last night’s Panama City Beach City Council meeting. Does Hector “Che” Solis look worried? How about the rest of them?
At issue:
1. His company, HTS Ventures, is a Texas LLC operating in Florida.
2. The address listed on his campaign document for the Texas LLC is his home residence in Florida.
3. He rents and advertises other people’s property without the required broker’s license.
Apparently City Attorneys have instructed the entire City Council to play mute on the matter. Every member sat there staring blankly, as though the questions were never asked.
But they were asked, and it is considered a Public Records Request under Florida Sunshine Laws.
Solis has been voting to control, regulate and ban other people’s businesses since being elected a year ago. He has been using his position in government to harass citizens with whom he holds personal grudges.
Official complaints have been filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
Solis likes to say, “If you’re not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.”
Citizens are going to test his theory.
